Social Media / Marketing Manager

For this position, I am tasked with enhancing the ocean education and ocean stewardship to the youth through STEM and experiential learning in Northeastern Nova Scotia. With this role, I am also responsible for growing the X-Oceans social media platforms (ie: TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc...) while increasing retention and viewers. Similarly, I am also responsible for creating and implementing promotional campaigns for the X-Oceans outreach program. Finally, I am also tasked with managing educational events within the Antigonish / local community to enhance the education of the youth while increasing their interest in protecting our environment.

Similarly, With my position, I am meant to create a safe and secure campus environment by leading regular campus patrols, surveillance activities, administering First-Aid services, reporting suspicious activities, facilitating dispute resolution, and intervening in emergent issues in a positive /constructive manner. Similarly, I have been tasked with completing official reporting requirements related to on-campus security incidents and initiating follow-up actions to ensure that all students / members involved are safe. Finally, for this position, I use my connections while working with partnerships with other Campus Security personnel and local law enforcement organizations.

For this role, I was tasked with conducting research and analytical activities for the “Ahead of the Game Youth Program”. With this position, I was leading information-gathering exercises pertaining to the overall functioning of various aspects of the above noted organization (such as on-boarding programs, employee management, marketing techniques, partnerships, structural design, organizational behaviour, finances, performance management) and providing advice/ recommendations to senior leaders regarding opportunities for improvement. Finally, within this role, I was managing a $40,000 budget to create a viable / reliable business plan to address strategic issues and devise appropriate solutions within the organization to gain efficiencies and improve overall performance.

JDCC Representative / JDCC Mentor

For this position, I was chosen to represent St. Francis Xavier University as a JDCC member for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students were chosen based on their academic prowess, their ability to work well with others, confidence, and strong verbal / communication skills. Once chosen, I took part in weekly meetings with my team to discuss strategy, practice, and improve on our skillsets. During the competition, we were each given a business case in which we had to analyze / discuss /create a viable business strategy to present in front of a panel of judges (ie: The competition was set during a 3 hour period). After competing, I was later tasked with mentoring new students who would be joining the JDCC team the following year.

For this role, I provided efficient and courteous service to a diverse range of clients within a fast-paced retail operation. Similarly, I handled large volumes of currency and digital financial transactions on a daily basis to complete client orders expeditiously and maintain careful records of inventory/sales volumes for business purposes. Finally, I replenished product inventories on a regular basis and assisted with tracking of existing stock levels / reordering.
